Mack reports that his knee
replacement surgery has gone well. The
knee is still swollen and he has some pain, but he is home. He was raving about his treatment at the VA
facility as follows:
I would like to pass on my
opinion of the V.A. Clinic in Ivins.
From the time I arrived until the time I left, it was First Class
Service. Everyone on the staff was more than friendly. These folks really define the term with
compassion. They all seemed to be marching with ONE ORDER, to make life as
pleasant as humanly possible. I told everyone I could see or speak with towards
the end of my stay with this statement:
"You could be working at any
facility like the hospital in St. George, UCLA, Stanford University, or Salt
Lake City at the Huntsman Center.
Instead you chose to work with the veterans. We stand and salute you for caring so much
about us.” (Most of the time, I had
tears in my eyes while trying to express how lucky we were to be in the V.A.
with such tender loving care).
