13 January 2024 Meeting

The next meeting of the Dixie MCL Detachment is next Saturday, January 13 and it promises to be an event you won't soon forget.  Commandant Tony Damiano has arranged for the singing group "Utah Tech Fusion" to entertain us. 'Fusion' is a fantastic group of students who myself and several others had the pleasure of listening to at this past year's Veterans Day ceremony on the campus.  So, bring your spouses and enjoy some top-rated music.

Grace Taylor will once again furnish a light breakfast for us all to enjoy.  Her egg dish at the December meeting was a huge hit! The plan is to have tables set up for breakfast and then break them down when Fusion is getting ready to sing.

Fusion will also provide a tune when we step outside the building to retire the American flag and replace it with a new one.

The doors open at 0800 and the rest of the schedule for Saturday will be flexible.  See you on the 13th!

Dear Veteran:

The St. George VA Outpatient Clinic is excited to announce that our Clinic is moving to a new facility. The clinic will close from January 5-8,  2024, to allow time to move to the new location. The clinic will reopen at our new facility on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Current Location:

St. George, Utah 84790

New Location:

On Friday, January 5 and Monday, January 8, the clinic will see walk-in patients only at our current location. On Tuesday, January 9, we will open the clinic doors at the new location. All future appointments will take place at the new clinic.

The move allows the clinic to greatly enhance our existing services, while offering several new services, including an Optometry Clinic, a Sleep Clinic, Walk-in Lab services, expanded Physical Therapy services, Nutritional programs, Walk with Ease and Move Programs.

Importantly, our phone numbers and email addresses will not change. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. You can reach the clinic at 435-634-7608, or simply stop for a visit.

We are honored to serve Southern Utah’s Veteran community and look forward to providing you with the world-class healthcare you deserve.

Respectfully,

The St. George Community Clinic Team

October Meeting

Remember the Commandant's shoe drive - bring shoes you no longer need or want, to donate.  They will end up in Africa on villagers' feet.

We need some nice prizes for the birthday ball raffle table.  Right now there are but a few, so we need more to make it worthwhile setting up the table, and this is the last chance to increase the stash.  New or slightly used items, not necessarily Marine Corps related, are welcome.  Bring your stuff to the meeting this Saturday for Pat Lisi to collect.

The guest speaker this month (Oct 14) is Chuck Waddel of Southern Utah Veterans Association.  He will talk about the Cedar City Veterans Park and Museum project.  Here is their website if you want to get a jump on the program:  Southern Utah Veterans Association.
